Welcome
Welcome to the Capstone Assessment site of the Transferable Integrated Design Engineering Education (TIDEE) consortium. Here you will find tools to assess and facilitate student achievement (learning and product development) in team design projects.
Purpose of TIDEE assessments
TIDEE assessments have been developed for use in capstone engineering design courses, regardless of discipline. They are intended to spell out achievements important in team design project environments, provide measures for these achievements, and provide simple methods for giving feedback to improve learning and design product quality.
Assessments may also be used to document individual and team achievements for grading and program accreditation. Because the way in which assessments are used influences the validity of results and student performance (either positively or negatively), care should be taken to properly use the assessments.
